Description

The Buena Vista Vinicultural Society was formed in 1863 by the winery’s founder, Count Agoston Haraszthy, to further improve its winemaking prowess and expand its vineyards. The Vinicultural Society has been restored as a collection of unique small-production wines that honor the winery’s pioneering spirit and contribution to California winemaking. The collection of wines explores clonal selections, varietals and the incredible terroir of Northern California.

Tasting Notes
Aroma:

Our 2023 White Blend opens with fresh citrus blossoms, white peach, honeysuckle, and a hint of tropical pineapple.

Palate:

The palate exudes lively acidity carrying notes of crisp green apple, Meyer lemon, and ripe pear, intertwined with subtle floral and mineral undertones. This is a round and plush wine with a long lasting finish.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

The 2023 growing season in Sonoma County was defined by a cool and extended spring, allowing for a gradual ripening process that resulted in exceptional flavor development. Moderate summer temperatures and well-timed heat spikes in early fall helped balance acidity and sugar accumulation, leading to a white blend that is both vibrant and complex.
